This anniversary photoshoot in Mammoth Lakes, CA was so much fun!

Jess & I have been following each other on Instagram FOREVER!! She’s a fellow photographer friend. I had the honor of finally meeting AND photographing Jess & her husband Chad in Mammoth, CA!!! I am always amazed by the community that Instagram can create! We all got along right away and had the best time running around this dreamy meadow at sunset!

Jess & Chad hadn’t taken photos since their wedding day a few years ago. They reached out to me because they wanted to do an anniversary photoshoot in mammoth! Despite being a little nervous to be in front of the camera again, after a few minutes and a little encouragement, they totally lit up with joy & had the BEST time. It was non-stop laughter and their love was so easy to capture!

Anniversary photoshoots are always so much fun! It’s always important to document milestones in your relationship and an anniversary photoshoot is a great way to make a date out of it! You could make it into a little adventure, bring along a picnic or just pop some champagne! Such a perfect anniversary date idea!

For this anniversary photoshoot, we met in one of my favorite places, the Eastern Sierras. It was a BEAUTIFUL day in Mammoth Lakes!

We found the prettiest spot in an open meadow with the most epic mountain views in Mammoth! The sun hit the mountains just right and lit up the peaks during sunset. They had such great chemistry which made it so easy to capture these special moments for them! Like I mentioned before, Jess is a fellow photographer – & it’s always the greatest honor photographing another photographer.
